Research interests:

My research is focused on understanding the role of the ocean in climate variability and change. More specifically, I am interested in (1) The oceanic and coupled ocean-atmosphere-land processes that drive climate variability in the tropical Atlantic, (2) Mechanisms of large-scale surface salinity variability in the tropics and its relation to the hydrological cycle, and (3) The processes responsible for intraseasonal to interannual variability of sea surface temperature in the tropical Indian Ocean.
