The outstanding performance of the crew of the SEWARD JOHNSON and the University of Miami technicians are described in attachments 2 and 3. AOML and CIMAS personnel also performed at an extremely high level resulting in a very high quality data-set. In particular, A. Anderson, D. Bitterman, C. Fleurant, R. Smith and G. Thomas were instrumental in insuring cruise objectives were met. On-board performance was possible because of pre-cruise staging efforts of PhOD personnel. Although this was the first time we operated on the SEWARD JOHNSON the successful pre-cruise staging resulted in few underway problems. W. Krug, M. Minton, R. Roddy and J. Harris contributed significantly to the staging of the cruise. Finally, the efforts of the many observers who participated on this cruise were essential for us meeting the objectives of this study. Often with little cruise experience they quickly learned the procedure for CTD operation, sampling taking and other tasks and insured a successful cruise. The major contributions of E. Galanti, J. Johnson, and E. Patti, Jr. on ACCE2 and A. Caltabiano, R. Guimaraes and A. Leonardi on ACCE3 are greatfully acknowledged. Special thanks to David Bitterman, Regina Guimaraes, Chris Fleurant, Ryan Smith and Gregg Thomas for contributions to this report.
