The Hurricane Research Division (HRD) is a part of the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the United States Department of Commerce. HRD is NOAA's primary focus for studies of tropical cyclones and
