NOAA 49RF flew an NHC-tasked Synoptic Surveillancd mission around Hurricane Irene in cojunction with a USAFr C-130. The G-IV left MacDill AFB, FL at 1731 UTC and recovered back at MacDill AFB, FL at 0120 UTC next day. 32 dropsondes were launched with 31 being transmitted.
