Because of Venezuelan airspace issues, could not make VDM penetration of storm, so a radar fix was made for the first fix at 2149Z. Shortly after that at 2200Z, the 04/00Z fix requirement was canx'd and we were released. We did a modified route coming home so the Navy personnel could release more AXBTs for their research program. 9 AXBTs released, all good. All met equip worked well, SST of 29 made SFMR look great. TD worked well, too.
