REMARKS:
Tasked for 1 Alpha, 2 fixes. NE leg shortened to ~35NM due to
terrain.
SE-NW leg flown at 10k', SW-NE leg flown at 5K' based on lack of
turbulence. SFMR inop due to unavailable cal file for that particular sfmr pod. attempted to correct the file en route with LtCol Talbot to no avail. storm rapidly deteriorated on
our way out; no radar presentation
whatsoever ini storm environment. forecasters word on way out: its "garbage".
2 center drops; 5 other drops attempted as close to max wind bands as
possible in all quads.
2 bad sondes. 10 sondes total. No sfc winds available in center.
