NOAA Miami Regional Library at AOML

General Library Information


The NOAA Miami Regional Library is a branch of the Library and Information Services Division NOAA Central Library in Silver Spring, Maryland. There are two libraries that comprise the Miami branch: one located at the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) and the other located at the National Hurricane Center (NHC). The following information concerns the AOML location.

Library Hours:

Library staff are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Public reference sevices - appointments are requested. Reference questions can be submited via email to

The Collection:

The NOAA Miami Regional Library collection supports the coastal and open oceans programs, tropical and hurricane meteorology, air-sea interaction, ocean physics, chemistry and acoustics, atmospheric chemistry, marine geology, and other related disciplines in the atmospheric and oceanographic sciences.
