Welcome to AOML

On behalf of the staff at AOML, it is my pleasure to welcome you to an overview of the research and some of the notable accomplishments of the Laboratory. In the following chapters, you will be able to view a brief description of our work and a sense of its importance and impact. The chapters will cover the four principal areas of the research at AOML, which are: hurricanes and tropical meteorology, climate, ocean/atmosphere chemical exchanges and the coastal ocean. The appendix contains other, more detailed information, about the programs at AOML. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at katsaros@aoml.noaa.gov, or call 305-361-4300.

The chapters are not independent, so it is best to start at the beginning and work to the end.
