Panel 1 shows a number of recently spawned eggs with a distinct yolk and periviteline space. They are nearly perfectly transparent.

Panel 2 shows a much older egg in which the developing larvae is now clearly visible.

Panel 3 captures the image of a larval fish. Because larval fish are still more dispersed and less abundant than the eggs such images are comparatively rare.
