1400    Second Plenary (Paul Dye):

 

            *Present the "Amount of Phytoplankton" model cell and question one

            *List the factors contributing to gains or losses of phytoplankton

            *Identify breakout groups and discuss breakout exercise

 

1520    First Breakout Session (Brian Keller and Bill Nuttle):

 

            *Draft box and arrow diagrams

 

1700    Closing Session for Day One (Brian Keller, and Paul Dye):

 

*Groups present general box and arrow diagrams for comparison


Day Two - May 26, 1999

 

0900    Third Plenary:

 

*Remind participants of question two and introduce ranking process (Paul Dye)

*Present yesterday's box-and-arrow diagrams and discuss revisions (John Hunt)

 

0930    Second Breakout Session (Bill Nuttle, Brian Keller):

 

            *Finalize box-and-arrow diagrams

            *Rank proximal factors in each of four phases

            *Rank distal factors for highly ranked proximal factors

 

1200    Lunch

 

1300    Third Breakout:

 

            Option 1 - Breakout groups have NOT finished ranking

                              *Return to breakout groups and finish above process

 

            Option 2 - Breakout groups HAVE finished ranking

     *Return to breakout groups to critique and enhance other

     group's model
